"Dates Chocolate" is made with Dates powder, NOT whole Dates.

Dried dates powder is 90% sugar and has a particle size of 200 microns. This dried dates powder is pulverized till 18-20 microns along with cocoa beans to make dates chocolate. At this micron size, when consumed in chocolate, pulverized dates powder is more readily absorbed in the bloodstream compared to dried dates powder. Please note that there is no commercially available sugar which is extracted from dates after the removal of fibers since it is economically unviable to extract sugar from dates. Therefore at 18 microns, dates sweetened chocolate behaves exactly like normal sugar sweetened chocolate with some fiber thrown in.

Dates Powder sweetened chocolate cannot claim "No Added Sugar"
